Seminars

Each semester the Center for Public Policy Research sponsors a dynamic series of seminars organized across key academic departments at Tulane, including Economics, Political Science, and Sociology. These seminars serve as a vital platform for faculty, visiting scholars, and researchers to present their latest work on contemporary issues related to topics in political economy, public policy, and social values. Papers are distributed in advance to participants who prepare questions for the presenters. All seminars are open to the Tulane community.

CPPR Public Forum

The Center for Public Policy Research’s Public Forum brings together leading voices to examine critical, real-world challenges at the intersection of economic forces and public policy frameworks. Designed to bridge rigorous research and pressing public debates, the forum features expert discussions on major contemporary issues in political economy, such as corruption, healthcare labor shortages, and the U.S. housing crisis, fostering dialogue among researchers, policy practitioners, and the broader community.

Working Groups

The Working Group on Health Policy brings together faculty from numerous disciplines across Tulane’s campuses to establish a network of professionals and produce interdisciplinary research that addresses critical policy issues. These working groups provide scholars with the opportunity to present new work to an incisive audience of researchers and practitioners. Each semester, CPPR's Health Policy Working Group hosts seminars featuring scholars presenting their works-in-progress to working group members and the Tulane community.
