About the Speaker

Thomas Sheehan is Professor of Religious Studies at Stanford University and a leading authority on the philosophy of Martin Heidegger. His publications include The First Coming: How the Kingdom of God Became Christianity (1988), Karl Rahner: The Philosophical Foundations (1987), and Heidegger, the Man and Thinker (1981).

In addition to his books, Professor Sheehan has written and published over 100 articles on a wide range of topics which have appeared in a variety of academic fora.
