About the Speaker
Randall McGowen is Professor of History at the University of Oregon and a leading authority on the social history of crime. With Donna Andrew, he is the author of The Perreaus and Mrs. Rudd: Forgery and Betrayal in Eighteenth-Century. His other works include studies on the history of forgery, the prison, the death penalty, and criminal law in eighteenth and nineteenth-century England.
