About the Speaker
Elizabeth Brake is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Calgary and a 2007-2008 Center for Ethics and Public Affairs Faculty Fellow. Her recent publications include, “Fatherhood and Child Support: Do Men Have a Right to Choose?,” (Journal of Applied Philosophy, 2005), “Justice and Virtue in Kant’s Account of Marriage,” (Kantian Review, 2005), and “Rawls and Feminism: What Should Feminists Make of Liberal Neutrality?,” (Journal of Moral Philosophy, 2004). She is currently writing a book-length manuscript entitled, “Defending ‘Minimal Marriage’: Marriage, Ethics and the Law.”
