About the Speaker
Eric Mack is Professor of Philosophy and a faculty member at the Murphy Institute at Tulane University. His primary philosophical interests are in the foundation of moral rights, property rights and distributive justice, and the legitimate scope of coercive institutions. Professor Mack’s publications include two edited volumes, Man Versus the State (with Herbert Spencer, Liberty Fund 2009) and Auberon Herbert’s Right and Wrong of Compulsion by the State and other Essays. He is also the author of numerous articles and reviews in prestigious journals such as Philosophy and Public Affairs and Ethics. He has received grants from NEH, the Earhart Foundation, the Center for Social Philosophy and Policy, and the Bradley Foundation.
