About the Speaker

Oliver Sensen is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Tulane University and a 2008-2009 Center for Ethics and Public Affairs Faculty Fellow. His research and teaching focus on modern philosophy and ethics and, in particular, on Kant’s ethics. He is a contributing co-editor of Kant’s Tugendlehre: A Commentary (Berlin: De Gruyter, forthcoming in 2009). He has published a number of articles on Kant and has an article, “Kant’s Conception of Human Dignity,” forthcoming in Kant-Studien. Professor Sensen is currently completing a book on Kant’s conception of human dignity.
