About the Speaker
Aaron James is Associate Professor in the School of Humanities at the University of California, Irvine. His research interests include political philosophy and ethics, specifically rationalism, the foundations of moral and practical judgment, and constructivism. His work has appeared in a number of scholarly journals, including Philosophy and Public Affairs and Pacific Philosophical Quarterly. Professor James is also the recipient of an ACLS Burkhardt fellowship for one year of study (2009-10) at the Center for Advanced Behavioral Sciences, Palo Alto.
