About the Speaker
Jennifer Culbert is a 2008-2009 Center for Ethics and Public Affairs Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor of Political Science at Johns Hopkins University where she teaches courses in political theory, law and society, jurisprudence, and rhetorical theory. She is the author of Dead Certainty: The Death Penalty and the Problem of Judgment (Stanford University Press, 2007) and the co-editor of States of Violence: War, Capital Punishment, and Letting Die (forthcoming in 2009 from Cambridge University Press).
