About the Speaker

Peg Birmingham is Professor of Philosophy at DePaul University. She is the author of Hannah Arendt and Human Rights (Indiana University Press, 2006) and co-editor (with Philippe van Haute) of Dissensus Communis: Between Ethics and Politics (Kok Pharos, 1995). Professor Birmingham has also published in journals such as Research In Phenomenology, Hypatia, and The Graduate Faculty Philosophy Journal on topics that include radical evil, human rights, and the temporality of the political.
