About the Speaker
Larry S. Temkin, Professor II of Philosophy at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, specializes in ethics and political philosophy. He is the author of the book, Inequality (Oxford University Press, 1993), in addition to a number of articles regarding the nature, foundation, and appeal of equality. He has received fellowships from the Danforth Foundation and the Andrew Mellon Foundation and has been a Visiting Fellow or Scholar at the National Humanities Center, Harvard’s Edmond J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics, All Souls College at Oxford University, the National Institutes of Health, and the Australian National University.
