About the Speaker
Samuel R. Freeman is Steven F. Goldstone Term Professor of Philosophy of Law at the University of Pennsylvania. Among his many publications are, Justice and the Social Contract: On Rawls and Rawlsian Justice (Oxford University Press, 2006), The Cambridge Companion to Rawls (as contributing editor, Cambridge University Press, 2002), and John Rawls: The Collected Papers (as editor, Harvard University Press, 1999). Professor Freeman is the editor of Lectures in Political Philosophy (Harvard University Press, forthcoming in 2007), the last book by the late John Rawls.
