About the Speaker
Eric Mack is Professor of Philosophy at Tulane University and a member of the Faculty at the Murphy Institute. He is the editor of Herbert Spencer’s Man Versus the State and of Auberon Herbert’s Right and Wrong of Compulsion by the State and other Essays. His recent publications include, “Libertarianism and Classical Liberalism: The Liberty Tradition” (with Gerald Gaus), in Handbook of Political Theory, “Prerogatives, Restrictions, and Rights,” in Social Philosophy and Policy, and “The State of Nature Has a Law of Nature to Govern It,” in Individual Rights Reconsidered.
