About the Speaker
Much of Dr. Barreca’s research has focused on understanding the relationship between climate, health, and economic well-being. For example, Alan has studied the long-term effects of exposure to malaria during early childhood. He has researched the effects of humidity on mortality in the United States. And he has studied the effects of demographic changes on the incidence of malaria in the early 20th Century United States.
