All lectures will be held in Thomson Hall, Room 201, Richardson Memorial Building at 6pm.
David Smith, September 19
Smith is the founder of the Affordable Housing Institute, which develops sustainable financial ecosystems worldwide. He has more than 30 years of experience working with affordable housing, combining the roles of practitioner, theoretician, participant, and policymaker.
Sharon Zukin, October 3
Sharon Zukin, Professor of Sociology at Brooklyn College and at the CUNY Graduate Center, is the award-winning author of books on cities, culture, and consumer culture, and a researcher on urban, cultural and economic change.
Ronald Shiffman, October 17
Ronald Shiffman is a city planner with 45 years of experience providing program and organizational development assistance to community-based groups in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Shiffman is also Professor of Architecture at the Graduate Center for Planning at the Pratt Institute where he founded the Center for Community Development.
