About the Speaker
Kenneth Schaffner is Professor of Medical Humanities and Philosophy at George Washington University and a Fellow at the Hastings Center. He has published a number of books including, most recently, Discovery and Explanation in Biology and Medicine (University of Chicago Press, 1993). Professor Schaffner has also published many important articles on the topics of bioethics, psychiatry, and neuroscience in a variety of academic journals and edited volumes.
