About the Speaker

Dale Dorsey is Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Kansas and a 2012-2013 Center for Ethics and Public Affairs Faculty Fellow. His work focuses primarily on ethics, and he has a growing interest in the history of that subject, especially the British Moralists, Hutcheson through Mill. He is the author of The Basic Minimum: A Welfarist Approach (Cambridge University Press, 2012) as well as numerous papers in journals including Philosophical Studies, Nous, and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
