About the Speaker

Bas van der Vossen, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, earned his doctorate from the University of Oxford in 2008. His research focuses on issues in political philosophy and the philosophy of law. His work has appeared in such journals as Law and Philosophy, Oxford Journal of Legal Studies, and Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.
