About the Speaker
Kieran Setiya, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh, earned his doctorate from Princeton University in 2002. His principal interests are in ethics, philosophy of action, and philosophy of mind, though he has also devoted time to researching the work of David Hume and the British moralists. In 2006, he was a Ryskamp Fellow of the American Council of Learned Societies. He is the author of numerous scholarly articles and several books, including Reasons without Rationalism (Princeton, 2007), Internal Reasons: Contemporary Readings (MIT Press, 2012), and Knowing Right from Wrong (Oxford, 2012).
