About the Speaker

Alastair Norcross is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He earned his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1991 and has since published extensively on numerous issues in both normative and applied ethics as well as in political philosophy. He is the co-editor, with Bonnie Steinbock, of the anthology, Killing and Letting Die (Fordham University Press, 1994), and his many scholarly articles have appeared in such highly regarded venues as Philosophy and Public Affairs, Philosophical Studies, and Philosophy and Phenomenological Research.
