Spring Lecture Series on Morals and Values

Geoffrey Sayre-McCord, Jesse Graham, and Valerie Tiberius to speak at Tulane.

The Murphy Institute’s Center for Ethics and Public Affairs is pleased to bring three of the country’s leading experts on morals and values to Tulane as part of our Spring 2016 Lecture Series.

This Wednesday, March 2, Geoffrey Sayre-McCord, Morehead-Cain Alumni Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, kicks off the series with his talk on “A Better Morality.” Professor Sayre-McCord’s lecture will take place at 4 pm in the Stibbs Conference Room of Tulane’s Lavin-Bernick Center (LBC).

On Friday, April 8, Jesse Graham, Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Southern California and the principal investigator in the USC Values, Ideology, and Morality Lab, will discuss his latest research at Tulane’s Rogers Memorial Chapel at 4 pm.

Lastly, on Thursday, April 21, Valerie Tiberius, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Minnesota and author of The Reflective Life: Living Wisely with our Limits, will speak at 4 pm at Rogers Memorial Chapel.
