Maureen Long is the Public Policy Program Manager for the Murphy Institute. She earned a B.A. in history from Northwestern University (1996) and an M.A. (2002) and Ph.D. (2008) in Latin American Studies from Tulane University, focusing on urban and international development.

As Program Manager, Maureen directs external relations of the Murphy Institute with respect to granting and funding agencies, and policy-related groups. She works with Tulane’s faculty on grant development and preparation for submission of external grants and manages internal and external grant-funded activities and special projects.
