Michael Moehler is a 2009-2010 Faculty Fellow. Before he joined the Murphy Institute, he held a visiting position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he taught in the joint Program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with Duke University. Dr. Moehler received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a master’s degree in philosophy of the social sciences, a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and economics, and a bachelor’s degree in business studies. His main research interests lie in moral and political philosophy, with a special focus on the contractarian tradition and topics at the intersection of philosophy, politics, and economics.
