Event Description

Geoffrey Sayre-McCord the Morehead-Cain Alumni Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and the Director of the Philosophy, Politics, & Economics Program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is also the Founding Director of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics Society, an international scholarly society for those interested in the issues that arise at the intersection of the three disciplines in the Society’s name. Professor McCord's research focuses on the nature of normative concepts, moral theory, epistemology, and modern philosophy.

Professor McCord is the co-editor of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics: An Anthology (Oxford University Press, 2016) and has extensively published in top journals such as Philosophical StudiesSocial Philosophy and Policy, and Noûs.
