Center for Ethics Sends Ethics Bowl Team to Compete in Boston
Tulane University’s Ethics Bowl Program (TUEB), organized by Murphy’s Center for Ethics, will be sending a team to compete in the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) Regional Ethics Bowl, hosted by Northeastern University on November 15 in Boston, MA.
Led by Graduate Coordinator and coach Shoshana Primak, the team has prepared diligently throughout the semester and looks forward to engaging with 19 other outstanding teams in thoughtful discussions of complex contemporary ethical issues. The top 36 teams from regional competitions across the country will advance to the APPE National Championship this spring.
More Information
The Ethics Bowl is an intercollegiate competition that challenges students to explore the ethical dimensions of real-world scenarios. Teams are evaluated on the clarity and depth of their arguments, their engagement with moral reasoning, and their ability to conduct constructive and respectful dialogue with opposing teams.
Through participation, students deepen their understanding of complex ethical questions while honing skills in communication, collaboration, and democratic deliberation.
