Jason Hanna is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Northern Illinois University and is one of the 2015-16 CEPA Faculty Fellows. Specializing in normative and applied ethics, his recent research has focused on examining deontological constraints on harming, and his current research project aims to provide a more-or-less unqualified defense of paternalistic intervention. Professor Hanna’s work has appeared in a number of prestigious academic journals, including Journal of Ethics, Social Theory and Practice, and Ethics. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2009.
