About The Speaker

The 2016 New Orleans Invitational Seminar in Ethics (NOISE) is a one-day meeting featuring discussion of new papers on ethics and political philosophy by Dale Dorsey (University of Kansas), Gwen Bradford (Rice University), David Sobel (Syracuse University), and Christian Coons (Bowling Green State University). Registration is required, and papers will be assumed to have been read in advance in order to best facilitate discussion. Those interested in attending, and so getting copies of the papers in advance, should register by contacting the organizer, Professor David Shoemaker, at dshoemak@tulane.edu.

The Murphy Institute

Established in memory of Charles H. Murphy, Sr. (1870-1954), and inspired by the vision of Charles H. Murphy, Jr. (1920-2002), The Murphy Institute exists to help Tulane faculty and students understand economic, moral, and political problems we all face and think about. More important, it exists to help us understand how these problems have come to be so closely interconnected.
