The 2018 New Orleans Invitational Seminar in Ethics (NOISE) is a one day meeting featuring discussion of new papers on ethics by Jonathan Quong (USC), Massimo Renzo (KCL), Connie Rosati (Arizona), and David Shoemaker (Tulane). Commentators and session chairs include Hille Paakkunainen (Syracuse), Justin D’Arms (Ohio St.), Shaun Nichols (Arizona), Elizabeth Brake (ASU), Dan Jacobson (Michigan), Rosa Terlazzo (Kansas St.), Simon May (Florida St.), Steve Wall (Arizona), Thomas Sinclair (Oxford), Mikhail Valdman (VCU), Jason Raibley (CSULB), and Paul Hurley (Claremont McKenna).

Registration is required. Papers will be assumed to have been read in advance in order to best facilitate discussion. Those interested in attending, and so getting copies of the papers in advance, should register by contacting the organizer, Professor David Shoemaker at dshoemak@tulane.edu.

The Murphy Institute

Established in memory of Charles H. Murphy, Sr. (1870-1954), and inspired by the vision of Charles H. Murphy, Jr. (1920-2002), The Murphy Institute exists to help Tulane faculty and students understand economic, moral, and political problems we all face and think about. More important, it exists to help us understand how these problems have come to be so closely interconnected.
