Rajendra Dulal completed his Ph.D. in health economics from Wayne State University in 2016, and an M.S. in applied physics from UMass – Boston in 2010. Before joining Tulane University, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. Dr. Dulal’s research areas are health economics and environmental economics. Within health economics, he is interested in cost of care, quality of care, and health policy. In environmental economics, his research interests lie in green economy and environmental/public health.

His research has been published in journals such as Futures and Health Care Management Science. He works as a referee for PLOS ONE, The Scientific Pages of Health Care, and The Scientific Pages of Nursing.

The Murphy Institute

Established in memory of Charles H. Murphy, Sr. (1870-1954), and inspired by the vision of Charles H. Murphy, Jr. (1920-2002), The Murphy Institute exists to help Tulane faculty and students understand economic, moral, and political problems we all face and think about. More important, it exists to help us understand how these problems have come to be so closely interconnected.
