Murphy Institute Political Economy Major Wins Prestigious Goldwater Scholarship

The Murphy Institute is thrilled to announce that Advaith Subramanian, a junior in its Undergraduate Program in Political Economy, has been awarded the highly competitive Goldwater Scholarship.

This prestigious national award recognizes outstanding undergraduates pursuing research careers in mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering. Advaith's achievement highlights the rigorous academic training and multidisciplinary research opportunities provided by The Murphy Institute's Political Economy major.

Advaith is engaged in research in the Tasker Lab at the Tulane Brain Institute and is also actively involved in The Murphy Institute's Science Policy and Communication Program, part of the Center for Public Service. This involvement further demonstrates his commitment to the intersection of research and public engagement that The Murphy Institute is known for.
