More Information

Across America, housing costs have ballooned in recent decades to consume an ever-increasing portion of the average household's income. These spiraling rents and mortgages have also bred separate crises of displacement and homelessness as well as a decline in homeownership opportunities for younger generations. What's driving America's housing crisis and more importantly, what can be done to fix it?

The Murphy Institute's Center for Public Policy Research, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Tulane University's School of Architecture and AB Freeman School of Business invite you to a two-day symposium on housing policy where panels of experts will discuss how to eliminate barriers to housing production, address concerns of race-based valuation, how to broaden access to mortgage markets and other solutions for expanding affordability and abundance in America's housing markets.

The event will feature discussion panels, workshops, and a keynote session with Raphael Bostic, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, moderated by U.S. Housing reporter Nicole Friedman of The Wall Street Journal

Friday, April 12 from 1:00 - 6:00 PM at the New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute (NOCHI), 725 Howard Avenue
