Biography

Benjamin Ferguson is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick, Director of the University’s PPE program, and a 2024-2025 Faculty Fellow at the Center for Ethics. Professor Ferguson’s research in moral and political philosophy focuses on the ethics of market-based interactions like exploitation and fraud. 

Dr. Ferguson co-edited The Routledge Companion to Libertarianism with Routledge in 2022. Professor Ferguson’s second co-edited book, Exploitation: Perspectives from Philosophy, Politics, and Economics was published with Oxford University Press in 2024. In addition to Dr. Ferguson’s books, he has published in top-rated journals as such as Analysis, Philosophical Studies, Res Publica, and Economics & Philosophy. Professor Ferguson’s work has been supported by organizations such as the NWO and the British Academy.
