Biography

Erika Cooperman joined the Murphy Institute as Program Manager in August 2025. She completed her Master of Public Health with the Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane in 2022, as part of the evacuated Peace Corps-COVID cohort. Her work primarily focused on reproductive justice, HIV and social dimensions of health in vulnerable communities. Before returning to Tulane, Erika spent two years working as Program Manager of Green Light New Orleans, a local grassroots environmental nonprofit leveraging art as a mechanism for environmental justice. She received a B.S. in Health Sciences and Public Health Education from James Madison University
