Jamie Dreier is Professor of Philosophy at Brown University. Professor Dreier’s research lies in the areas of ethics, metaethics, and political philosophy, and he has published a number of highly influential papers on noncognitivism and practical rationality. Professor Dreier is the editor of Contemporary Debates in Moral Theory (Blackwell 2005), and his articles have appeared in leading journals such as, Ethics, Philosophy and Phenomenological Review, Nous, and Analysis Professor Dreier received his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1989.

Murphy, Jr. (1920-2002), The Murphy Institute exists to help Tulane faculty and students understand economic, moral, and political problems we all face and think about. More important, it exists to help us understand how these problems have come to be so closely interconnected.
