Holly M. Smith is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University. Professor Smith’s research interests include normative ethics, moral responsibility, and bioethics. She is the author of Making Morality Work (Oxford UP, 2018). Professor Smith has published articles in many leading philosophy journals, such as The Philosophical Review, The Journal of Philosophy, Ethics, Nous, and Mind. Her article “Culpable Ignorance” was selected for inclusion in Philosopher’s Annual as one of the ten best philosophy papers of 1983. Professor Smith received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
