About The Speaker
Rosa Terlazzo is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Kansas State University and 2016-17 CEPA Faculty Fellow. She earned her Ph.D. from the Australian National University in 2013, and her research focuses on issues in moral and political philosophy. She is the author of several papers which have appeared in a number of highly regarded academic journals such as Journal of Political Philosophy, Canadian Journal of Philosophy, and Utilitas. During her stay at the Murphy Institute, Professor Terlazzo will be working on a series of papers which explore the intersections between adaptive preferences, transformative experiences, and well-being with the cumulative goal of providing an argument for the importance of adaptive preferences in moral and political philosophy.
