The Murphy Institute is pleased to announce an upcoming research conference titled “Louisiana’s Insurance Crisis: From Risk to Reform”, hosted by the Center for Law and the Economy. Join leading scholars, advocates, and policymakers as they examine the residential insurance crisis gripping Louisiana and elsewhere and discuss the range of potential reforms that could stem it.
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 28, beginning at 12:45 p.m. It will start in the Diboll Gallery of the Newcomb Institute, located in Malkin Sacks Commons, and continue in the Moot Court Room at Tulane Law School.
Event Details
John Bel Edwards, Louisiana’s 56th Governor (2016 – 2024) and now Special Counsel at Fishman Haygood, will provide the keynote address.
Panel discussions will cover the current state of insurance policies and risks, as well as policy solutions that could improve outcomes for residents.
