The 2024 New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University

Event Description

The New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University brings the world’s leading authors to the university's uptown campus for a multi-day celebration for book lovers of all ages. Each day of this 3-day literary event features panel discussions, moderated conversations, keynote lectures, family programming and workshops.

On Friday, March 15th Gary Hoover, Executive Director of The Murphy Institute and Bettina Love, author of Punished for Dreaming: How School Reform Harms Black Children and How We Heal, discuss the topic of educational reform and economic reparations at 3:00 pm on the Tulane Alumni Stage. Anneliese Singh, Associate Provost for Faculty Development and Diversity, will moderate the conversation.

Tulane alumni, faculty and staff who will be featured at the festival have authored best-selling novels, histories, biographies and other works on subjects ranging from hip-hop music, the geography of New Orleans, children’s books, game development, natural disasters, epidemics and the future of gene editing.
