The Murphy Institute Seminar Series in Economics
Each semester The Murphy Institute sponsors a series of seminars organized by the Tulane Department of Economics that provides an opportunity for faculty, researchers, and practitioners to present their latest research and pressing issues related to topics in political economy. Research presented covers all aspects of contemporary economics, including the economics of education, health economics, and public economics, as well as in economic history, international economics, and core areas in political economy. Papers are distributed one week beforehand to the participants who read the paper and prepare discussion questions for the presenter.
Tatiana Homonoff is an Associate Professor of Economics and Public Policy at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service.
Her research identifies areas in which behavioral economics can improve public policy with a focus on antipoverty programs, tax policy, and consumer finance. She is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a member of Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM)'s Policy Council, and serves on the editorial boards of the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, National Tax Journal, and Behavioural Public Policy.
Homonoff received a Bachelor’s from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University.
