Tulane University Ethics Bowl: Collegiate Team Scrimmage
Tulane/LSU
Hosted by the Center for Ethics
More Information
Launched by the Center for Ethics (CE) in 2023, Tulane University’s Ethics Bowl Program (TUEB) is a high school and college competition where teams engage in discussions about complex moral issues in real-world scenarios. Unlike traditional debates, Ethics Bowl encourages a collaborative format where teams consider complex issues and defend a position they believe to be reasonable, engaging in deep conversations about tough moral issues. The program promotes respectful, supportive, and rigorous discussions centered around cases relevant to our time.
Collegiate and high school teams participate in scrimmages and competitions to explore contemporary issues in practical and professional ethics, and prepare for national and regional competitions. Through Ethics Bowl, students develop a deeper understanding of complex issues and hone skills associated with democratic deliberation.
