Alex Guerrero is a Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University. Professor Guerrero works on a variety of topics in moral, legal, and political philosophy, and epistemology (particularly social epistemology). He is currently working on a book that argues that we should use lotteries, rather than elections, to select our political officials. Professor Guerrero has published in top-rated journals including Ethics, Philosophical Studies, and Philosophy and Public Affairs. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Philosophy Compass, the leading journal publishing peer-reviewed survey articles that cover the most important research and current thinking from across the discipline of philosophy. Professor Guerrero received a Ph.D. from the NYU Philosophy Department in 2012 and a JD from NYU School of Law.
