CLE Visiting Assistant Professorship

The Murphy Visiting Assistant Professorship in Law is a centerpiece of the Center for Law and the Economy's Center's programming, designed to launch the careers of promising legal scholars. The VAP program provides a dynamic and collaborative environment for early-career scholars to build a strong body of research and gain valuable teaching experience.

A key benefit of the program is the teaching mentorship and guidance in developing their academic scholarship as the basis for obtaining a tenure-track law teaching position. We are proud to share that every one of our Visiting Assistant Professors has secured a tenure-track position at a U.S. law school upon completion of their CLE professorship.
