Mehr Manzoor
Mehr Manzoor is a Fulbright Scholar from Pakistan and a Ph.D. candidate at Tulane University in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Mehr's research focuses on gender equality and women’s leadership in global health. She is a recipient of the Center of Ethics and Public Affairs Graduate Fellowship Award from the Murphy Institute for 2022-2023 for her dissertation research titled “Gender Inequality Regimes of Global Health Organizations” under the supervision of her advisor, Dr. David Hotchkiss. She served as a research director at Women in Global Health from 2016 to 2019.
CEPA Seminar: Alin Fumurescu
Alin Fumurescu is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston and a 2022-2023 Faculty Fellow at the Center for Ethics and Public Affairs. Professor Fumurescu’s research includes the history of ideas, political and self-representation, and American political thought. Fumurescu received the American Political Science Association Leo Strauss Award for the best doctoral dissertation in political philosophy in 2013.
Brandon R. Davis
Brandon R. Davis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and the Murphy Institute at Tulane University. He earned an M.S.W. from Alabama A&M University, and a M.A. in Gender and Race Studies and a Ph.D. in Political Science from The University of Alabama. Brandon is also a former postdoctoral research associate at Brown University.
C. Justin Cook
C. Justin Cook is an Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the M.A. Program in Political Economy with a Data Analytics Emphasis, as well as a faculty member of The Murphy Institute.
Marco Pariguana
Marco Pariguana is a postdoctoral fellow in Economics, the Education Research Alliance, and The Murphy Institute. His research interests include the economics of education, labor economics, and applied microeconomics. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in 2022.
Javiera Selman
Javiera Selman is a postdoctoral fellow in Economics and The Murphy Institute. She completed her Ph.D. in public administration from NYU in 2021. Her research areas are urban, public, and development economics, with a special interest in behavioral economics.
