Biography

As of 2018, Paul has been at Tulane for a total of 23 years. From 1988-1995 he worked first with the Psychology Department and then the Graduate School. After earning his B.S. in Computer Information Systems at Tulane in 1994, he worked in the IT field as a programmer, systems analyst, and technical writer for several years. He returned to Tulane to manage Economics in 2002.  In 2016 he was a recipient of the President's Staff Excellence Award.

The Murphy Institute

Established in memory of Charles H. Murphy, Sr. (1870-1954), and inspired by the vision of Charles H. Murphy, Jr. (1920-2002), the Murphy Institute exists to help Tulane faculty and students understand economic, moral, and political problems we all face and think about. More important, it exists to help us understand how these problems have come to be so closely interconnected.
