Biography

Xuanhao He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Economics and Murphy Institute at Tulane. He is an applied microeconomist with interests in health and public economics. His work covers health insurance, payment, and health. He currently studies the impact of provider and prescription payment on health insurance enrollment and health in the context of Medicaid. He is also interested in health plan choices among marketplace insurance enrollees. Before joining Tulane, he received a PhD in Economics from the University of New Mexico.

Established in memory of Charles H. Murphy, Sr. (1870-1954), and inspired by the vision of Charles H. Murphy, Jr. (1920-2002), the Murphy Institute exists to help Tulane faculty and students understand economic, moral, and political problems we all face and think about. More important, it exists to help us understand how these problems have come to be so closely interconnected.
