The Center for Public Policy Research’s (CPPR) Postdoctoral Scholars Program is founded on The Murphy Institute’s commitment to building an exceptional intellectual community and advancing careers in political economy.
The program aims to attract and support a diverse range of promising young scholars. We seek candidates from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds whose research, life, and professional backgrounds will significantly contribute to academic excellence in political economy at Tulane and The Murphy Institute.

However, our primary focus is on how these policy areas impact the market environment (e.g., the labor market, housing market, healthcare, etc.). and/or the economy.
- Contribution to Multiversity of Perspectives, Backgrounds, Values, and Ideas: Highlight the project's or researcher's contribution to multidisciplinary approaches that advance Murphy’s strategic imperative to examine, address, and catalyze innovative solutions to 21st century policy challenges.
