Jonathan Dancy is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Texas. His research focuses on moral theory and issues of practical reasoning as they relate to the moral domain, and he is widely known for his defense of moral particularism.
Thomas Hurka is the Chancellor Henry N. R. Jackman Distinguished Professor of Philosophical Studies at the University of Toronto. Professor Hurka has written on a number of topics within the fields of moral and political philosophy, and he is widely considered one of the most prominent defenders of perfectionist moral theories.
David Sobel is the Irwin and Marjorie Guttag Professor of Ethics and Political Philosophy at Syracuse University. Professor Sobel’s main areas of research are in theories of value and reasons for action. He is the author of From Valuing to Value: A Defense of Subjectivism (Oxford UP 2017).
Chris Heathwood is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Colorado, Boulder and 2017-18 CEPA Faculty Fellow. His research interests include Ethical Theory (with an emphasis on well-being and metaethics), Metaphysics, and Philosophy of Religion. His work has appeared in a variety of prestigious scholarly journals and collected volumes, including Analysis, Philosophical Studies, and Oxford Studies in Metaethics.
