2008 Yates Lecture: Anne Krueger

About The Speaker

The 2008 Yates Lecturer is Anne Krueger, professor of international economics at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and formerly the Herald L. And Caroline L. Ritch Professor in Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University. Dr. Krueger is the former First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund and she was the World Bank Chief Economist from 1982 to 1986.

2010 Yates Lecture: Glenn C. Loury

About The Speaker

Glenn C. Loury is the Merton P. Stoltz Professor of the Social Sciences and Professor of Economics at Brown University. He has taught previously at Boston, Harvard and Northwestern Universities, and the University of Michigan. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics (Northwestern University) and a Ph.D. in Economics (MIT).

2012 Yates Lecture: William Gale

About The Speaker

William G. Gale is the Arjay and Frances Miller Chair in Federal Economic Policy in the Economic Studies Program at the Brookings Institution. He is co-director of the Tax Policy Center, a joint venture of the Brookings Institution and the Urban Institute.

Prior to joining Brookings in 1992, Dr. Gale was Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a senior economist for the Council of Economic Advisers under President George H.W. Bush.
