Matías Morales Cerda

Matías Morales is a postdoctoral scholar in Economics and The Murphy Institute's Center for Public Policy Research. He completed his PhD in Public Administration at New York University in 2024. He researches topics in Economics of Education. You can see Morales' CV here.

Luca Ferrero

Luca Ferrero is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside, and a 2024-2025 Faculty Fellow at the Center for Ethics. Professor Ferrero’s research focuses on questions about rationality, constitutivism, and personal identity. 

Benjamin Ferguson

Benjamin Ferguson is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick, Director of the University’s PPE program, and a 2024-2025 Faculty Fellow at the Center for Ethics. Professor Ferguson’s research in moral and political philosophy focuses on the ethics of market-based interactions like exploitation and fraud. 

Johanna Jauernig

Johanna Jauernig is a 2024-2025 Faculty Fellow at the Center for Ethics and has a background in philosophy, experimental economics, and moral psychology. Her research is rooted in the idea that understanding both the incentive structures and the cognitive mechanisms behind moral attitudes is crucial for the ethical analysis of societal problems. With this approach, she addresses topics such as market skepticism, moral narratives in housing and land-use discourse, and the societal impacts of disruptive technologies. 

Emily Gamundi

Emily Gamundi is originally from New Orleans. After receiving her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tulane University, she became part of the faculty of Trinity University in Washington D.C. as a Clare Boothe Luce Professor of Mathematics. While there, she nurtured a passion for teaching and guiding students. After starting a family, she made the decision to stay home with her children while they were young and continued her desire to inspire a love of learning through homeschooling her seven children. Ricardo B. Ang III

Dr. Ang is an applied microeconomist with research interests in health and urban economics. Ang recently received a PhD in Economics from Georgia State University, and joined Tulane University's Department of Economics and Murphy Institute as a postdoctoral scholar in health economics and policy in Fall 2024.
