On Saturday, March 8th, Tulane Law faculty Ann Lipton will host the Ninth Annual Tulane Corporate and Securities Roundtable, co-sponsored by the Murphy Institute's Center on Law and the Economy and Tulane Law School.

Hosted by the Tulane Journal of Policy & Political Economy, this upcoming event will feature panel discussions with former Economic Advisors for the Trump Administration, Immigration policy experts, and renowned economists & political scientists. Tara Joann Yanez is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Stone Center for Latin American Studies. Her research analyzes topics related to gender, race and ethnicity, public security, crime and violence, and peacebuilding initiatives from a sociological lens. 

Yanez’s dissertation, “Navigating Latin American Urban Peripheries: How community-led strategies to create justice and security challenge violent state building projects in Cali, Colombia,” is written under the direction of Dr. David Smilde.
